Pelican Exercising

One morning at Granada Bridge in Ormond Beach, Florida, I saw a Brown Pelican on a piling near the docks. I thought it might be a good chance to make a photograph of it as it started to take flight. As I was waiting for the Pelican to take flight it started to do what looked like a series of stretching exercises to start the day. I didn't make the photo of him taking flight but I enjoy these photos of him exercising. The Brown Pelican put on quite a show.
